You can always validate something IC through your role. Full-looting etc. can all be done within good roleplay. What I look at is the spirit of the roleplay. Characters like Igbah, Acaga in the past, even Blitzenturt etc. played super badass evils without making other people feel horrible about themselves after interacting with them. I'm sure there is a way to play a cocky demeaning drow without making others absolutely dread interacting with you, which is how I feel about Kostyan and I have interacted with him with easily 5 different heroes. So while I see you that are trying to play the devil's advocate, I think deep down you know that the player of Kostyan's character is a prick. No big deal, there are lots of prick's in CF, but most of them don't get made Emperor which accentuates this fact to everyone that interacts with him.
A specific example is when i played Laernoch - a storm pally squire. I killed Kostyan once with someone else and took his bracelet of charms, left everything else and returned anything I didn't need from the container but kept that one item. He later repeatedly told me he was going to full sac me every time he killed me, eventually got me down with imperial bard and imperial shaman and made right on his promise of leaving my corpse empty. Now in RP terms Kostyan did a great job of imposing his imperial badassery and holding to his promise. Does that make him a great RP'er? Maybe, but do I respect him as a CF player? No.
