Duty was always the first cause of the warrior-monks of the Order of Macalla. And with duty, oft came battles seemingly beyond the reach of a single man, struggling against overwhelming odds and dishonorable treachery. The meditations of the XXX were ones of endurance, of fighting on even when badly injured. Through its ways, the warrior-monks learned to survive even grave injuries, though their meditations did little to reduce the pain.
