The hunt is a "sacred wilderness creature" because the imms use that as a reason why it can't be called from cities. But really it could be anything, just like you can throw fire seeds but for all anyone cares they could be "balls of wilderness energy" or whatever you want them to be. Its a fictional world, the only reasons for anything being the way it is either lies in tradition, consistency, balance, uniqueness or technical necessity.

You're acting like the hunt is a real thing that CF based their spell on ;).
