Can also assume that since he's passing through the mountains, he's not welcome in Hamsah. Let's further guess that since running in a straight line seemed not to be flyto-murder, that any attempted flee in an open zone would continue to be unsuccesful.

You gotta figure out where an area stops and where it starts.

eyejab/dirt kick etc whirl is just a horrid choice n/t

Dirt kick isn't, if it's all you have to blind an air shifter.
