It's just not an impressive series of logs is all. Insane dam redux, rain of stone/shield of electricity. He probably could just stand still and people might still kill themselves on him. The point of my post is people can make an invoker like this. Pretty much anyone can do what he has. As people have said, it just takes time and patience to get to this point. I consider most of these logs displays of bad choices on the part of people fighting him more so than anything really interesting done by Volkov. A guy with 1000 hps getting hit for grazes is not in a whole lot of danger, and for an invoker, fighting 7 would be preferential to fighting just 2. He get all the anti ganging benefits, the regular melee hits don't matter, and he has two things that hit everyone consistently for high damage, plus the occassional pillar. And most of these guys have maybe stoneskin at best in terms of preps, maybe protection evil, anthem.
I don't care if assassins assassinate, bards fiend, necros sleep/PWK, thieves blackjack, invokers do what volkov does or whatever. Every player should use what they have available. It's just kind of bland to read, which is kind of a drawback of lots of invoker logs. I like the ones where he put in some comments or had a little dialogue involved, they added a little humor at least.
Oddly enough, I think Flaaayin, by himself, could end up getting the better of Volkov if he caught him. But Volkov is definitely not an idiot, he's a smart player that knows what he is doing and maximizing every advantage his class has and picking his fights to minimize his risk. And people seem tp panic when they fight him.
Why doesn't a warrior go in solo and try to drive him for example, get away from the rain of stone? A guy with landslide might be able to do a bunch to him with the right weapons to negate shield of electricity.
Editted to add:
He's not cheap (unless that really is a bug but even then it might not matter too much), just bland. That's all. I don't find the logs exiciting cause you almost know exactly what is coming next everytime.
