Well shit, that was just about as much fun as I have ever had. This was my fourth hero here at CF and I learned a ton! I had a few goals with this character.. one was to learn to play the warrior class, which I have had reservations about because melee classes seem to be prep heavy. So I decided svirf for some extra DR, battle for resist, and gates legacy to beef that up some more. I was not disappointed at all, Grembolin was an absolute blast to play. I had a rough go for the first 200 hours or so, but due to the uncomplicated nature of axe/fist spec, I didn't have to make too many decisions about what to do in combat... opener? pincer... burst damage? pincer... maybe pummel situationally... Pretty much just pincer and be smart about controlling the fight, and ducking out when it's time to go. Berserkers are just too much fun. I had some really great opponents over the course of Grem's life, and learned a lot about chasing and feigning weakness when appropriate. Ysaloerye's religion was really challenging for me, but mostly just revising my work over and over to get it as perfect as I could. I was alittle bummed there weren't more interactions in the shrine or elsewhere with her, but in the end after making full mason I was definitely pleased, even though I wanted to give up on the religion at a few different points. Big props to Oxias, your tough as nails and just a great player to interact with (I suspect I know who you are, and we have had great interactions over a few different characters). I am bummed that I never got to participate in the Rites with this character, as I think I would have fared well, and hear it's quite a thing to be a part of. I had a snowboarding vacation with the kids and my family the weekend the last rites was held, and just couldn't get enough time to myself to be present.
I think I will wait to formulate something more coherent and thoughtful on officials to give props where props are due. But all in all I had great interactions with most of you across the board. Minus a few bad apples. Thanks for the great 350 hours everyone. :)
