Well. Not having played an assassin in a really long time, I thought I would give it a go.
Loved the char. Loved the role. At least one imm liked the role, too. Loved everyone I interacted with...
But my rustiness with zmud was my downfall.
Tried to set an "assassinate @stalktarget" as a macro.
Was "practicing" stalk in the only place I could find anyone....Galadon. On the only person in the game I could find, tried to stalk a fire giant, but he was slippery, I didn't know where he was hiding....
Someone I'd ranked with in the past....
And it turns out...I didn't set an assassinate @stalktarget macro....I set an assassinate @stalktarget trigger.
And, I was walking to this guy, to continue some RP disagreement we had....
Bam, of course a triggered failed assassination attempt. surprised the hell out of me more than him, I think I thought for a moment the fire giant attacked me......
Sigh.

Sure...maybe I could have rp'ed it out. He sure was super pissed. Tried to make a start to rp-ing it out, and he basically told me to screw myself, and logged off. A valid rp response, I guess....but something that shut down my attempt to make things right...which meant that "rping it out" was gonna take a long ass time.
I just don't have the energy for a long-ass-time rp-it out with someone who is unwilling to give me the chance.
Again, a valid rp option for him...not saying his reaction was wrong....but his reaction was why I deleted...if that makes sense.
Heh, the player may have a nice juicy role addition, and the character may hate on the fort for weeks or months. All good fodder for rp stuff.
Just too tiring for me....
But this delete hurt much more than any I've deleted in a decade and a half.
( I do wonder if any of those many...many pk attempts I had where they got away...would have been different if I wasn't mudding from my phone 65% of the time)
