Luck? Sure.
At any time, I could have been put in a position where I would have to cross one faction over another, and I did my best within rp not to. Not killing gaorloch for one, and then paying 100 gold tribute to the guild as punishment for it, and making a truce and allies within the guild to keep from getting booted. Could I have been? Sure. I played my best not to, and managed to pull it off. Maybe you just don't like that because you couldn't do it? I Don't know.
As far as align changes... I had a gnome murder shifter (who hasnt at one point or another) that got a well deserved align change, wtf does that have to do with a village thug being part of a thief guild?
Maybe cookie-cutter style fits you, but I like to do things I havent done before, and accomplish things people don't do all the time. Im satisfied with what I was able to do, and am ok with that.
And far as the Graatch remark... I don't see how that applies.
I was on to Gaorloch as soon as he told me he's seeking redemption, because as a cousin Duergar, I was offended. I was giving him shit about it then he goes and activates the everful skin, so a slap in the face with a nice wad of spit to match, I knifed em. Tell me, as a duerg berserker, what should I have done differently? Asked him to stop? What was wrong with that RP choice?
As far as infuriating people, if you give me that "friends little brother Naah naah ni boo boo vibe" you know, that annoying little kid that tries to tell you IC how to roleplay, tells you he's going to kick your ass but won't ever fight/defend the cabal, then gangs you and sends tells like PWNT!!, yeah, I'm going to make sure when I am around, you are going to know it, and it's going to burn your ass at the mere thought of me.
Obviously, it's not very hard for me to affect these kinds of people given my responses on this site as well as the official, so from my standpoint, I did pretty well at what I was trying to do.
Wether or not you, or anyone else can accept that, is not my problem.
See you in the fields.
