Jere was my come back character after a... 5-6 year absence, and for better or worse, I'm hooked again. Jere was awesome fun pre-40, I don't think I've ever had a more successful PKer. I've had characters get a higher total number of PKs, and even more PKs per hour, but I think Jere died twice in his entire life (both at hero) and killed a lot of people. IMO Assassins are by far one of the strongest and most enjoyable classes avaliable pre-hero.

Once I got to hero though, everything sucked. Life just became boring. I'd log on with a crappy range (no one to hunt) and I'd just twiddle my thumbs for 30min, gather a prep or two and log off. Was a real let down when I'd been waiting all day to play. I tried exploring too, one my own and with good groups, but it really doesn't appeal to me.

Tribunal fucking sucks ass. First and last Tribby I'll ever play. I used my powers maybe once or twice (beyond warranting people) in the ~100hours I was inducted. Raids never happened on either side unless the otherside wasn't logged on, each cabal IMO is far too powerful in their own, and far to pathetic outside it. Insect swarm makes raiding a death sentence, and even if it isn't a leader you face there's a high chance the inner will cast it anyway. I enjoyed juggling the whole hunting evil whilst trying to remain loyal to the Spire politics, but that was about it.

As for the class, as I said, Assassins rock (for the most part). I'm normally a serial Warrior player, but Assassins IMO just fragile warriors with hide, and hide is so, so powerful. The downside to them I think is they're super effective against some combos, and useless against others. Druids and Muters I couldn't work out a single thing I could do. I'd literally type 'skill' after a fight just looking for abilities I'd forgotten to try. Assassinate is very satisifying, although I rarely had the patience to pull it off. I landed two in my entire life. For the record, can Mummies/Liches be assassinated? I landed a partial on Cotzi but I heard it was impossible.

I also had absolutely zero interaction with my God. I followed Marcatis, prayed everyday for about a month during his wizlist times (when I was on holidays) and never heard a response. I sent him a note, still nothing. Once I started back at Uni I could not longer stay up to ridiculous hours to pray so I just gave up trying.

I'd rolled a new character this week which I just can't stop playing, and since Jere was just hording gear I figured I'd delete him.
