It was ugly: A plain black screen, the phrase "Connecting...", and worst of all - No skull.

On June 1, the hosting company that houses the Carrion Fields server experienced an electrical explosion that knocked out power to dozens of servers. To make matters worse, the backup generator failed, causing further delays. The Imp's Luck! While there was no physical damage to the CF machine, over a week passed before the location could be cleared, cleaned, and repowered for the server to be fully reinstated. The good news is: We're back up! Just in time for the summer doldrums, Carrion Fields is back in business! Fire up those MUD clients and brush up on your hunting skills. And if you think you've lost the touch, now is the perfect time to put a new role together and try out that character you've been considering.

The Outfit Command Gets a Kick!


Brought to you with coding accomplishments of Zulghinlour, the outfit command will now be more useful. Now, you'll be able to get coverage on most slots despite level. Also, players will be able to use the command while unghosted, and all armor has been improved to help you. Worried that your outfit gear will crumble, and you don't want to leave your group for regearing? The staff has listened to your requests, and that precious outfit gear will stay until you have time to replace it! Complete information can be found on the forums.

To Purge or Not to Purge?


Haven't been able to log on for a while? You'll be able to get equipment purge relief with some recent updates. If a piece of limited gear is not at or above its limit, you'll be able to keep it. Also, if you do have a piece of gear purged by the hoarding code, you'll get a free outfit. Complete information can be found at the offical site.

Quests Just for Groups


A quest of a new type has recently been put in through the coding magic of Daevryn. Groups will now be able to get an experience bonus just by ranking together in certain areas. While this bonus won't last for ever, the short spurt will be well worth the effort. Click here for more information.

Welcome Enlilth and Yean to the pantheon! Enjoy being an aggressive player? Enlilth the King of Kings may be a good fit for you. Enlilth controls the spheres of Strength, Envy and Greed. He may be an imperial God, but chaotic types still have a chance to follow him. Battle also welcomes a new immortal, the Lady Yean. She has power over the spheres Strength, Knowledge and Beauty.
