Trying to figure out why this doesn't work

Prompt = <277hp [2pm]>

Trigger = ^<*(.)+hp+.*>
%1 should give me 277 but it's giving me 7. I've tried other variations of the trigger pattern (like (/d)) but it never gives me the full number, it's always some random number in it. I know decent regex but this is just giving me a problem.

I want to save the time into a variable but can't seem to ever figure this out.
