If is for the cry stuff you wouldn't need to send the return. As I take it you will be entering commands or getting new text back quite often while cry is active. I.e fighting

So just set a variable of the game time when you do your warcry then make a echo when the gametime and variable isn't equal

Maybe. You also have to struggle with the fact that there isn't an echo at every tick's end.
