Someone school me in the use of CMud

So I've used zMud for over 15 years and it's worked well except for a few issues it seems to have with win7. So I upgraded to CMud and i'm having a hell of a time with aliases and such. What I did with zMud was to make a settings file for each class. So when I rolled a char I would load the corresponding class file and all my aliases would be there. Can you even do that with CMud? I've tried numerous times to import the settings from another package, but everything is all screwed up. It says it loads the package, but none of my settings are there.

Are packages the way to go? Should I create a package for each class? If so how can I copy aliases from one package to another? I get tired of typing my targeting system in by hand for every char I want to roll.

I'm about to delete the damn thing and just call it a day with muds.
