What's the point of putting a bandwidth allowance?

Can't you just give your customers a what they can get out of your system kind of deal? The connection speed will make its own, natural limitation to bandwidth.

I live in a pretty rural area where I can't get Comcast or at&T high speed so I'm stuck on Verizon Hotspot with 15g a month (n/t)
