Because it's become socially unacceptable to say "this guy is stupid/dumb/wrong/inferior because he's black", and very few people are willing to do so.
"This guy is stupid because he's black" isn't just socially unacceptable, it's also wrong. I think it should be socially unacceptable to continue to say thing which aren't true.

Instead, it's become this massive force of double standards. For example, the birther movement (of which Trump was a huge proponent of), suggested that Obama was born in Kenya, despite all evidence to the contrary and Obama releasing his birth certificate.
Literally no other presidential candidate has ever had to deal with that,
With being accused of being born in Kenya? Did any other president have family in/from Kenya?

And, you know, because his dad
was an economist for the Kenyan government, who happened to be born in Kenya.

The only reason this movement had any traction at all was because people were willing to hold Obama to a standard that no other presidential candidate in the US had to worry about, simply due to the color of his skin.
You mean a standard that every single president is held to, otherwise they aren't allowed to become president, right?

Movements like these allow people to be incredibly racist without having to openly say so. It makes justifying their own racism to themselves a lot easier - they can deceive themselves and say "I'm not being racist, its just clear that Obama is lying and he was born in Kenya."
They aren't the only people deceiving themselves, FYI. You should start with the man in the mirror.
You should ask him to change his ways.
You should hold your son over the edge of a balcony, ha ha so fun!
