Like, has adding an unnecessary middle man ever made anything cheaper? They effectively work on %commision of the health care costs (this is likely obfuscated in the business model, but if you look at the incentive drivers over time it will end up being like that) so it's in their interest to increase those costs because then their cut increases as well.
And of course incurance companies are owned by the same people that work hard to make people live unhealthily so they get sickly and need more healthcare. Basically a weak and needy population = profit.
This wasn't meant as a stab against capitalism or the US or anything in general, I don't care. But every regulation is a step away from free market capitalism, and you guys keep adding more of them.
There's a reason why US health care costs are way above everyone else both in $/capita and % of GDP.
