Rural medical staff in general will be hit or miss. Some are good and choose to work out there because they like that life style. Unfortunately some are just too retarded to be trusted with that fancy new MRI machine they have at the big boy city hospitals. Add on to that the funding issues (that MRI machine is not cheap) and you quickly have a huge disparity in knowledge, skill, and medical equipment available to rural sites.
Have a sneeze? Snake bite? Giving birth? Grazing gunshot wound? Fine, go rural.
3rd degree burns from blowing up your propane tank? Drive the extra hour. They are just going to medevac you anyway.
