EU won't hold together because Germany effectively sucks on other EU economies, so EU does not act like a union, but instead more like a metropoly exploiting its colonies. With the process of disparity between Germany and other EU countries going deeper, the political stress will be unbearable and will inevitably result in defaults and breakaways, followed by eventual EU economy crumbling.
