Nothing will happen. They'll fuck around and declare a new treaty where Spain and Catalonia will suck each others' dicks for awhile longer.

Reason? They are way too rich to fight and die for independence, so they won't. Anyone heard of catalonian independence fighters bombing people in Madrid? Neither had I.
