The right to bear arms (not to fucking shoot people in the face with these arms, remember, we are talking about certain rights) is probably the most important right you can have barring the right to assembly/right to free speech. In the end, the government can only protect you so much. In the end, you have to protect yourself.
Allowing citizens the right to own/purchase firearms does not equal = tons of murder. Unsupervised/Illegal weaponry kills a metric ass pile more people in the US than legally purchased firearms. By stating you think the populace should not be able to own/purchase guns, you are basically putting them at the mercy of the federal/ruling government. Since our current administration is so 'tyrannical' as you put, WTF do you think would happen if the American citizenry could not purchase arms to protect themselves from the threat of Totalitarian rule?
