Hindu, I feel choppy about it though. It's difficult in America because until recently there wasn't really a structure in place that promoted the hindu youth to get together and learn. Between that and a language gap with our parents, I think we lost a lot of it. But like every other religion, hinduism is trying to recover from the world moving secular, so there is a faction in hinduism right now that is really getting the youth involved and sparked up about the religion.
We believe in arranged marriage, so one of my conditions will be a girl that really understands hinduism(because all the stuff is deep). Afterall, that's the only way my kids will know what they need to know about hinduism.
I've been a pretty big critic of religion because you take a lot of shit from Christians growing up if you are not Christian. But as of late, I've realized that you can't label the entire religion off Alabama, because that's about as dumb as thinking the Muslim you see is a radical extremist by default. The Muslim thing really sucks for us, since ppl don't differentiate between brown.
I don't know if raising kids in a religious fashion is so bad. I wonder the alternative, which would be tons of 13 year olds thinking their philosophy is as legitimate as the teachings of Buddha. A ton of 13 year olds who will be able to justify things that across the board are unacceptable to the major religions of the world. I'm starting to ramble, so I'll just hit post for now.
