Why do you guys like sports?

I see it as imported talent that doesn't represent anything your community produces in and of it's self.

While I can admire an individual athlete for his ability, I can't in anyway come close to see them as a role model for myself or my family other than to say, take care of your bodies and enjoy life.

The idea of viewing one team over another is foreign to me given that they are all a blended blob of purchased man-power.

I like to play sports, but would sooner watch the Discovery, Neo-geo, History, Military C-Span, News channels.

I don't enjoy professional sports, but it's popularity doesn't surprise me: people have always enjoyed violence nt

Heh, well the Colosseum had to be replaced with something. Guys can still be territorial it seems. nt

It's a nice, arbitrary, shared interest with people in your community. ~
