I've always been more fascinated with American politics than British despite British politics being closer to home. So, I pose some questions (being a little out of the loop living in the UK) to any that are reading this:

Firstly, what outlets are there to follow the US elections? I saw snippets of the CNN (i think?) televised republican debate on youtube posted about a while ago. I've had a look at Ron Paul, various websites and so on.

Secondly, in this early stage of the elections, who would you like to win?

Thirdly, who do you think will win and why?

Does anyone believe that Obama or Clinton realistically have a chance given their obvious disadvantages, one being of African-American heritage and the other being female?

Also, I know that the final stages of the elections usually contain some rather extensive scrutinising of the candidates by the media and so on. It is my understanding that things can get rather dirty if there are any skeletons in the closet of the candidates. Realistically does anyone think Clinton if put forward as the Democrat candidate will survive the baggage and fallout left over from Bill's presidency?

I'm not going to really share much of an opinion since I don't believe in talking about what I don't know much about. I like what I hear from Ron Paul, Huckabee seems to deliver quite well. I haven't seen much of the Democrats, I'd like to see more.
