I'm not blaming people for looking at all - but I'm a capitalist and I mostly believe in "market forces". And by that I mean that, if the person goes out and lets themselves get swindled into taking on a mortgage that they cannot pay and simultaneously we bail out the banks for handing them those loans - we haven't fixed anything. In fact we've just sent a clear message to people that they don't really need to pay attention because Mr. Paulson is there to make sure they don't have to. So five years down the road its a larger problem than the original. Its a solution that benefits the politicians more than anyone else.
