About the only thing that comes to mind worth giving him credit for is appointing the two supreme court justices. Whatever solid economic policy implemented under him has been completely thrown out with the Iraq war. He also hasn't taken a hard enough stance on pork-barrel spending, in my opinion, and has folded on such to pass too high of defense spending bills. So yes, he has handled some things well, but I don't really feel like he or his administration deserves the credit. Fiscal policy, environment, and socially conservative issues just haven't been the focus and that has been unfortunate.
Addition - I was a McCain fan in 2000 but I did not vote. I voted for Bush in 2004 but I cannot stand Kerry, Edwards, or even Gore. 2004 was a terrible race with terrible choices.
