Hence, hemp is also illegal to grow in the United States, due to its trace amounts of THC. Similarly, seeds are also illegal, as they also contain trace amounts.

On the other hand, hallucinogenic mushroom spores are legal to possess as they contain no psylocybe or psylocybin themselves.

Possession of a THC producing orange tree would still be a federal offense.
