Your credit score has a bit more significance than you seem to believe. Beyond that, there are many other things I can do in collections that would make your life miserable, and all of them are perfectly legal. I know how to do my job, and I am very good at it. Your credit score is the least of my concerns, but should be something you consider with care as it will influence future financial options and opportunities. There are also a lot of different ways to deal with collection calls, the easiest of which is to simply send a written cease and desist request.
