Don't listen to any of these suggestions. Watch Ninja Scroll. Then Vampire Hunter D. Then watch their sequals.

Hellsing isn't bad... but it's not quite action packed enough for me. But if you want more visually stimulating stuff, watch Princess Monenoke(sp?), Akira, Paprika(sp?).

The one movie that I personally like best is called Cat Soup. Find it and watch it, then watch it again. Then watch it again. It's eye candy.

The problem with anime is that there is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT of it but 99.9% of it is absolute garbage.

Record of lodoss war is weak, not worth your time. (n/t)

Frosty January 06, 2012 01:32PM

We're talking early to mid 90's. So I was probally 12-15 years old at the time. I used to rent em from the movie joint up the street. (n/t)

Looked and found an awesome sight for the Record of Lodoss War sequel. Link enclosed.

Some of my favorites: Rune Soldier, Princess Mononoke, Bastard!, Those Who Hunt Elves, Scrapped Princess, Chobits, Saiyuki. ~

_Magus_ January 05, 2012 07:00PM

It's so funny.

K-B January 06, 2012 10:19AM

Rurouni Kenshin, or as it's called in America, Samurai X is pretty good. Obviously the classics Akira, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D.

Sam January 05, 2012 06:52PM

Oh! And check out Karas:The Prophecy and it's sequels. Pretty neat stuff. Blood the Last Vampire is alright (I think that's the name of it).

Sam January 05, 2012 06:56PM

Don't listen to any of these suggestions. Watch Ninja Scroll. Then Vampire Hunter D. Then watch their sequals.

Frosty January 05, 2012 08:33PM

No way someone as anal/uptight as you smokes ganja.

Frosty January 05, 2012 08:31PM

You could eat cat soup. Or you could eat this:

I've seen like...one episode of Record...but I just remembered...Bastard!! is very similar in style (and awesome). Definitely would recommend though its only 6 episodes long. (n/t)

Artificial January 05, 2012 05:32PM

Record of Lodoss War can't be topped, but try Samurai Champloo /nt

MiyagiYojimbo January 05, 2012 05:25PM

Cowboy Bebop

satchmo January 05, 2012 05:11PM

I only liked two episodes of Cowboy Bebop...Ballad of Fallen angels and Real Folk Blues #2. Maybe I'm weird. (n/t)

Artificial January 05, 2012 05:18PM

2 of my favorite episodes, but the rest are all awesome too. Watch them again! nt

K-B January 06, 2012 10:13AM

Yes, yes you are. But liking, or not liking, Bebop isn't what put you there. :-P (n/t)

satchmo January 05, 2012 05:33PM

Read Gantz. Or Shin Angyo Onshi. Quite possibly the greatest mangas ever made. links:

boba January 05, 2012 04:59PM

I watched Gantz the movie. Awesome (reminded me of a Versus style) but confusing as shit. NT

Sam January 05, 2012 06:53PM

Get him into more anime before suggesting manga. Gantz is awesome, but its turned shitty of late. Deviated from its original formula. (n/t)

Artificial January 05, 2012 05:04PM

Sailor Moon (n/t)

Matrik January 05, 2012 02:04PM
