Re: Editing.

First off, you kind of sound like a tool. You're not speaking to Congress here, you're not in a cabal interview. You can speak like a normal person. There's a decent chance Gabe won't smite you for it.

Second, editing posts is lame. Editing hours later (once other people have read them, and possibly even responded) is doubly lame. Keep in mind, once you read a post, you're not going to go back and read it again. So if you make an edit an hour or so later, a lot of people will never see it. Just make a new post. And if they respond to something, which you later edit out, it just derails the whole conversation, and is open to all kinds of nuisance abuse.

A couple forum restrictions that are problematic.

I regular edit posts multiple times, but I'm fairly certain it only works for the first hour. (n/t)

You are alone.

We've been able to edit for quite some time...are you referring to something else? (n/t)

The handle requirement of Diku-Wiki is due to bot-related saboutage. (n/t)

Make the wiki read-only for those without a handle. Current option is the worst possible solution. (n/t)

How do you do that?

I use edit frequently, I just make it a policy to never remove anything I have already said.

LOL- editing posts is lame.
