Played a shield guy a long time ago. You've pretty much got wrath, though I gather a storm with shield bash edges can get some mileage out of spamming that now. I think I get two-handers. Big burst damage. What's the standard tactic for the others if you're looking to seal kills? There are some monks with a decent number of kills and KPH. At least, relative to other palby Isildur - Main Board
I don't think Glik's overly cautious. I think he's "moderately" cautious, but expects other people to not be cautious at all. Another thing he frequently does is assume cheating on the part of his opponents, based on pretty flimsy evidence. Completely discounts the possibility of things being coincidence.by Isildur - Log Board

QuoteKstatida Red Aura is about "character", which is "inclination to do things". Exactly. Except in CF your "inclination to do things" isn't entirely up to you. It's fixed at character creation, and "knowable" by way of aura.by Isildur - Char Board
One thing to note: Time spent gathering preps is often (but not always) also time spent doing other things. Like looking for people to kill. If I know I'm going by an area w/ some prep on my way to some other area that I want to check to see if some enemy is there, and the prep's easy to get, then I'll go ahead and grab it. Because why not? There are also situations whereby Isildur - Main Board
I've tried to log in during the day a few times, and it's not so much "Fort-tastic" as it is "nobody-tastic". Whenever there's a bunch of Empire on they're usually in Hell. You're either on the trip with them, or you can effectively act as if they're not online.by Isildur - Main Board
I'd agree that if someone acted in real-life like Maran act in CF that it would be "evil". Mainly because there's no concept of "red aura" in real-life. Or, if you prefer, everybody has a red aura. Also, in the real world there are civil authorities and we've delegated the task of punishing wrongdoers to them. In CF the vast majority of the world is no manby Isildur - Char Board

End-game is different, and the selection criteria of the people being murdered is different. End-game: Empire zealot is working toward a world in which the Empire reigns supreme and oppresses all of Thera. It's also explicitly evil to the extent CF associates "darkness" with "evil" and "light" with "good". Consider the slogan "<b>Darby Isildur - Char Board
Most of the time yes. But I can imagine an "altrustic" evil character. This is the "true believer" who is all about advancing the "cause" by any means necessary, even if it requires him to do really evil things. He's not in it for himself, per se. He may be humble, self-sacrificing (for the cause), etc. He's a zealot.by Isildur - Char Board
They track this. I'm not sure if killing sentient neutrals dings your "score" though. Killing anything good-aligned definitely does. The align change isn't automatic, but if you start killing good-aligned stuff willy-nilly as a good-aligned character you'll definitely pop up on their radar.by Isildur - Char Board
Evil #1: I kill because I enjoy killing. Don't matter who I kill. Evil #2: I kill because I want shinies. Don't care who I have to kill to get them. Evil #3: I kill to teach and vanquish those who oppose the Empire. You're either with us or against us. If I offer you the oath and you refuse then you're against us. So you can do pure blood lust, greed, or killing fby Isildur - Char Board

Can't say for sure because I never made it that far, but from an outsider's perspective it seems like they normally "rebrand" you when you get to the point where you're going to run your own religion. So your heroimm character, who used to be a mortal, goes away, and your become "some new deity nobody's ever heard of before". Presumably they try to steerby Isildur - Log Board

Jose Quintana for Lance McCullers straight up. I have Quintana. Yea or nay? McCullers projects to have a lower ERA, comparable WHIP, significantly higher K/GS. But he's injury prone; he projects for about 25 GS vs. a full season for Quintana. Both have high ERAs so far this year, but McCuller's peripherals (xFIP, SIERA, K%-BB%) look good. Quintana's ADP was around 80; Mby Isildur - OT Board
