I'm getting far more evades with an unskilled 23 dex, than with 22 dex + skill.
I'm not sure if there's a hidden modifier to some races, or if there has been some tweaking between the span of the two characters, but dang...
What kind of damage are we looking at, with overhead? Is it worth overheading rather than pincering? I found overhead pretty lackluster last I checked.
Good-aligned folk typically wont rack up the sheer numbers compared to evil or neutral folk who can be far less discerning with who they kill.
Paladins suffer from difficulty in sealing kills. While they're pretty solid tanks, and deal reliable damage, they have a harder time keeping you pinned down.
They have an easy time winning the fight, but fall short on sealing the deal.

With spellcraft and 23 int, he's casting at a higher level than 38, making the longshot chance of him landing the sleep somewhat less insane, but still highly improbable.
