QuoteJava Frankly, summoning an evil mob into danger is arguable. I could argue that it isn't against the code to force two evil creatures to kill each other. In general, I'd agree with Matrik that it's a no-go, but I can at least see the argument the other way. Yep, if the intent is to then kill whoever is left over too, then I can definitely see an argument at least forming. Iby Matrik - Main Board
Quotezannon You keep saying the chief is evil, he is not, as you were already told. If you are making more of a reference to a paladin summoning Ghaelek, which I have never once seen done, then maybe your argument is a bit more valid. The better part of the code to look to in regards to summoning may be never betray your comrades or cower in fear, since arguably summoning a mob to take your placby Matrik - Main Board
Relevant paladin's code: 4. Never abandon your friends, allies or your beliefs. Fight with courage, and if you must you will die. Never betray your comrades or cower in fear. 11. Do not associate with the taint of evil, in any way. Summoning evil mob to help fight enemy: Summon mob, stand behind for protection. - Cowering in fear of your enemy. Imagine you're the felar chief. Are you happy that a paladin just summoned you as a meat shield vs. a blood thirsting barbarian? I doubt it. So if the chief could act, it would likely attack the paladin. Since it doesn't attack the paladin, it's effectively agreeing to help the paladin. Associating with evil. The paladin is quite literally teaming up with an evil being to fightby Matrik - Main Board
Yes, obviously, we have to make distinctions. However, this isn't one of them. You might have an argument if the paladin is killing the evil mob every time he summons it, but somehow I doubt that is the case here. I'd still call that associating with evil and therefore a violation of the paladin's code. You may think that evil NPC you just summoned is going to stand there with aby Matrik - Main Board
You can be true neutral in Outlander. They take neutral and chaotic ethos. Only thing you lose, iirc, is windwalk. I've done true neutral and evil neutral. That said, I totally agree with the rest of it. We need a real mage cabal.by Matrik - Main Board

I can now play a paladin that summons the emperor to fight our enemies together. Thou shalt not associate with evil. The paladin code is not hard.by Matrik - Main Board
Sort of indirectly affects me. Doesn't affect me because I'm not, nor would I ever level sit to try to get them. So either way, I don't get the PK edge points. Affects me because I'm a low level player and I have a lot less people to play with since there is less reason to level sit. FWIW, I supported the change at inception. Now that I've played under the systemby Matrik - Main Board
Ashamed I didn't notice that. Grord's whining was too hard to look past I guess. Why in the world is a paladin summoning cannon fodder to feed to a thirsting battlerager? Did the felar chieftain ask to fight for the Fortress? I doubt it. That paladin should be align changed.by Matrik - Main Board
