From everything I've seen it's almost completely unrelated to the abundance of firearms and mandatory conscription. Gun control is actually so strict that pro-gun Americans would consider it oppressive, and most Finns I've talked to have thought of the military service as being educationally helpful and not at all an affront to freedom.
I noticed a good percentage of cases invo
Can you make the next one about permagrouping, please? Or maybe wand list sharing!
I'm not saying there aren't legitimate concerns buried somewhere underneath all the OUTRAGE, but it's laughable to throw around personal attacks over something so commonplace.
I've actually written the initial role for this character, but it's been years and I know I'll never end up doing it so I might as well share.
The idea is that you're a charming bartender by day, and a hired killer by night. You take contracts in advance, and meticulously stalk them. You ONLY try to assassinate, fleeing quickly if anything goes wrong and always feigning i
And it wasn't because of anything Dawkins even had to say. It wasn't like he was getting beat up on, he just stumbled over most everything. Seems like he was just there because he was the most prominent local Catholic priest or something.
There was even a hilarious moment where he starts a sentence with something like 'and we were preparing some young boys...' and pauses
I think it ends up telling us more when we figure out what you can do wrong.
- A nonlinear storyline does not necessarily mean more replay ability
On one side of this spectrum you have games like Diablo 2. It's not just the roguelike aspects that make it so replay worthy. Every character is immensely customizable and you can play through with 50 different skill builds and enjoy them
Master of Orion
- Never played MoO 3, so I can't comment there
- Galactic Civilizations 2 - Stardock's games are almost too in depth sometimes. With Civ games at least you have a basis (history) to work with, but here you're pretty much learning everything from scratch. Doesn't really bother me that much, but man I do not really need to customize as much stuff as you can
H2h is just gold when you've got the str/dex advantage, and duergar dagger is one of the best ways to assure you've got that. High hp and imperial defense with daggers, and then imperial offense with fists to seal kills. You have some really fast maledict combos with hurl, artery, vital, etc.
Lots of really interesting legacy choices too, like you said.
I was thinking about a si
..and just assume that the old testament laws are no longer in play. Of course, you still can't forget "history" (I'm laughing even putting that in quotes), so god was still responsible for all the shit that went down that entire time. Either way, there's enough awfully stupid stuff said in the new testament too - rife with contradictions - that you're better off i
So either they realize they're gay themselves - or they realize being gay doesn't actually hurt anyone, and so there's no sense in being homophobic. But then they don't want to admit it conflicts with their belief system, because that would mean you can derive morality without it and all those slimy atheists might actually be decent people.
Good thing the bible contradicts
Having lived in the American south for a good part of my life, I've seen all kinds of 'old fashioned' racism, sexism, etc. All of the cities around where I grew up were still pretty damn segregated, despite it being the 90s, and of course we're also talking about the Bible Belt as well. I always felt completely comfortable joking with black friends about something stupid lik
is that we shouldn't have to figure out such important live or die aspects of PK from a log being posted on dios that looks like abuse of a bug. Taking the time to track both these forums and the officials (especially bug submissions) is yet another battle in the war of CF information.
Also, I'm all for entwine having more disadvantages, but this goes so far as being an advantage fo
Great build idea, well played, in the one cabal that could make it really work, and yet still had some seriously huge weaknesses. Though maybe you could do something similar with a frost/fire and not have some of the issues. Not sure.
But yeah, swords are easily the best spec for giants as long as the mechanics stay similar to what they have been since the weapon (specifically axe) changes.
Not because Empire characters are weak alone, but because Empire has a ton of enemies. And even just one of them (Fort) usually has more numbers than Empire does on at any given time.
This doesn't mean that individual Empire characters need to gang (far from it, actually); just that Empire needs enough numbers on so that your enemies have more targets than simply you.
You were War Master for one of my fairly recent Empire warriors, and never ordered me to follow you or anything like that. Though I'm generally the type to be glued to any cabal-related situation anyway. It was certainly nothing like you were calling regular gank squads like it was 2003 as some people want to believe.
There's too much of the dragging on and on about nothing in some of the books. You know you're in trouble when you're reading fantasy and no longer are trying to turn the page before you're done reading it. I definitely had to force myself through some of the chapters.
There was also the whole annoying habit of having the male characters do interesting stuff while the fem
And either way, that specific question (whether or not Iraqis value it being worth it due to the improvements in their military and police forces) was not asked, and all other sources would point to it not being a significant factor. Especially the military part, which is what I found the most ridiculous.
You're talking about US soldiers there, who at the very least signed up knowing they could be forced into a combat they aren't all gung-ho for. Usually they tend to agree with official US policies to begin with, too. By contrast, polling random Iraqi citizens beforehand and asking if they'd be willing to die is a much different story.
