Shams is right, too, we were all trying to figure out damage control over fort cb when Twist came down, expecting you to fiend us in the ancient blue lair.
I hardly have more knowledge than you ;)
The guy's name on COC was Thresinok (which also happens to be one of my favorite outlanders, ever).
Basically, he played more than a dozen of the most impressive characters in the history of CF (IMHO) .. like one-of-a-kind type characters and had what could be described as an estranged relationship with the IMMs while simultaneously getting rewa

Hoysepis outlander svirf shapeshifter with gorilla form
-- this might be a tangent, but the guy who played these was one of the best non-IMM CFers, ever IMO. I briefly interacted with him while playing clash of clans a couple years ago, and it turned out that he played an incredible

The bottom line to Nepenthe was that he was going to play the game all out.
He was going to spend weeks writing the "perfect role." He was going to RP his tail off.
He was going to use every bit of area/game/quest knowledge at his disposal to PK.
He was going to use all of his knowledge to explore areas that no one had explored before and start cycling gear no one had ever
At least, not how I interpret the definition of cheating.
To me, cheating would be to hook his mortals up with certain quest skills or benefits, either directly with his Imm, or indirectly by asking other Imms to do it for him. Nepenthe didn't do that.
Rather, Nepenthe had immense knowledge at his fingertips, and knew everything there was to know about skills, equipment, areas, quests
I stick with a character for as long as there are goals left to achieve, and almost never delete when there is a carrot hanging just out of reach.
There are simple goals like an invoker attaining spells. So I'll rarely delete an invoker until I get to the last ones, even if I hate the character.
There are exploration type goals - a while back, no one had killed Tiamat, so I made it a ch
Thanks for your response, and the anecdotes about the resilience of children are somewhat comforting. But I am married to a Tiger Mom (tm).
Regarding special talent and the gulf between excellent-to-good vs. good-to-average, wouldn't you say most subjects/pursuits/etc. are like that? I read an article about a guy who wanted to test Gladwell's "10,000 hour" rule (10k hours

(3) Does not matter if class sizes > 20. Small class sizes do not help with student outcomes. There have been some good American statistical studies of this. The reason people think that small sizes help is because posh schools with better students and better teachers and more resources tend to have small class sizes.
This is anecdotal, but I'm married to a teacher and a
I was talking in the context of "high income earners" - the marriage penalty kicks in at the higher brackets when you have two of them.
I was focusing on "high income earners" because I think they get screwed by defining wealthy people as "high income" instead of "high worth"--to the point where I'm suspicious that the tax code is intentionally gear
Well, if it's sort of wrong to say one spouse pays purely at the higher rate, then it's also sort of wrong to say the other spouse is paying at a "much lower" rate overall than they would if filing as a single. For example, if you have one spouse earning $230k a year, and another earning $110k (both considered "high income earners"), they would be paying several tho
Re: Taxes:
Just to be clear, your income alone does NOT make you wealthy--the value of your assets does. In fact, increasing the tax rate for high income earners prevents them from becoming wealthy because it takes away money that they would otherwise spend on accumulating wealth. So when we talk about taxing the "wealthy", let's all be clear that the taxes need to hit the tru
I've lived in California my entire life, and attended public schools my entire life, including UCSB undergrad and UCB Boalt Hall law school. At every level of my education, we discussed the causes of the civil war, and covered other countries that abolished slavery without war. There was nothing remotely controversial about questioning why the political climate in the US was different than
A lot of people--seemingly, all Trump supporters which I call the 46%--are questioning US institutions that I think are fundamental to our government's existence, and offering nothing whatsoever to replace them.
I generally don't latch on to conspiracy theories, but there has been a disturbing amount of chaos and division spread over the last couple years between the constant disinfo
On one hand you have US Intelligence agencies stating they have a reliable source.
On the other hand, you have an anonymous 4chan user claiming, after the fact, that he single handedly made up all of the as-yet-unknown information in the US Intelligence agency reports (without actually stating what the information is).
46% of our country believes the anonymous 4chan user.

Much worse.
The only comparative classes I can remember offhand are invokers and assassins.
Once you are in the high 40s, it is easy to walk around "fully" prepped as an invoker (ABS/protection/stoneskin), even if you know absolutely nothing about exploration. Each wand has 3+ charges and most are not difficult or dangerous to gather on your own, with the exception of a barrier w
That's illegal.
And they only did it to one side - that's clearly indicative of trying to sway a situation, which means interference.
Our rights are institutions that we associate with making us "free," and must not be trampled to "expose corruption."
Go out and rent a copy of Berkeley in the 60s and be inspired. We have plenty of global issues going on right now that could use someone with the free time and passion that you have. Get off the couch and go make a difference while you're young enough to do it.
Cribbs and Jennings looked like stars. Just about every play for positive yardage involved one of them.
The Steelers kept coming close and then Ben would get sacked and put them back. It was really amazing that Cleveland pulled it out. It wasn't a game I would have watched if it didn't have fantasy football implications, but I was glad I did.
ETA: I'm so psyched that I go
No one is saying you have to be nice and avoid PKing and looting people. The point is that if you make a habit of multi-killing and full sac'ing people, you'll get one of two outcomes:
1. They'll stop fighting you or maybe even stop logging in when you're around unless they have friends to help them out.
or
2. They'll delete.
I don't see how either of thos
If you are incapable or unwilling to put in the requisite time, intelligence and/or being socially well-adjusted (I'm assuming you mean charismatic) won't get you anywhere. I'm not even convinced you need the other two to have a productive life - but you absolutely need to know how to work effectively.
