Your OP is ABOUT the frequency at which people post on this forum
and you've been around awhile you know what the participation rate in this game and this community was like not even very long ago and that there's definitely been a decline
And you think that this is just normal? That most people should be happy to swim in pointless, unnecessary negativity, and find that as fun as
Think about how people address each other here
Use your own post as an example
Then ask yourself: Why would anyone want to participate in that? What part of that effort seems worthwhile?
I'll preface to say that I'm not claiming to be innocent, it just clearly doesn't matter.
They might be old proverbs and classic crutches but they're not great philosophy by any means:
there's nothing wise about shrugging off criticisms because a proverb has gifted you the assumption that the critic is also guilty. That's just a very long tradition of trolling
it makes me nervous. It reminds me of Blizzard over-investing in WoW - I hope the Elder Scrolls team will be able to continue producing quality singleplayer RPGs, but it seems like a stretch.

Your 'and probably' is where you totally lose me - I'm not sure when it started mattering if trut
