Usually I don't pay much attention to stuff, but I just tried to RP a truely newb char not having a clue about the world and this prompted the post. You take things for granted usually, like your just-in-Thera char knows where all cabals are, what the nicknames are, what they stand for and so forth. So, that makes life easier. You might even get some spoils that way. But please try to roll a
Secondly, sure, my char probably knows of a village of great warriors. But just a hut? Probably not. Which hut are you talking about? How in the world would he connect an abstract hut to that village?
How am I the char supposed to know what chasm or hut they speak of? And what is magic to a giant warrior the almighty? Or even what a zombie is if I've never seen it?
Playing a newbie not having a clue because my char does not. It is incredibly frustrating when people don't go along and just dismiss you. It would be very very hard for a true newbie. We've been playing for so long it's sometimes easy to forget how high the learning curve is so I rolled and actually rp someone not having a clue. Generally I get the cold shoulder. Which is bad for
IE I have asked someone in response to his remark "what is a hut?" I was shrugged off. My char has no frame of reference when you talk about a hut. And probably neither should yours unless something happened ic.
I have 1.9k imm but no devious. Frustrating as my build depends on it, have not taken anything. Any help appreciated. Oh, pretty sure I have levels and other xp fulfilled.
Discussing the edge I want, I get:
No stats
No skills
What does it mean ?No skills I can understand at least, probably needs a 100%, but what's no stats? Can't ever take it or what?
Well, you'd sometimes step out on the plains, yes, but it's not every time and besides, depending on the char, you might not need to be on the plains much at all.
I've had always managed to get empowerment whenever I felt like it. However, I read active god X's religion first and try to build the char concept around that in some way (matching desired race/align/cabal to the god). But twice I had an imaginary god and that worked out alright too, albeit took a little while longer. Usually the whole process takes about two-three weeks of slow leveli
Excellent survivability, literally nothing can kill you if you don't want it to. On the other hand, you can't finish anyone except probably for insects. I was uncaballed due to a role concept, just weren't enough people around to support it (low chance of engagement), so I suggest outlander and pray for insects.
Pluses:
Tanked storms from about 38 to hero, soloing most of 40
Explorer/marshdweller is completely fine if you don't plan to PK. The build has excellent survivability for exploration and PvE if that's what you're looking for. Ranking is a breeze, especially if neutral for more group options. Ranking to hero completely alone is also a fine option, if slow at times (30-35 and 43+). For extra cool points, go evil Scarabite and do rank completely
Because of the whole concept of switcheroo I suppose. Your groupmate suddenly has to leave, generally people don't turn on you in the middle of ranking because the balance shifted because it's a shitty move, but I guess some do and once this happens to you, you'd probably hate the cabal. Plus the ganging that can go on for a while, some of it because of bond, but mostly because it&
I've been wondering, since this is very obtuse, can we come up with a list of size restrictions for the various skills maybe? For example, am not really sure you can cranial someone two sizes larger or smaller than you. Really no idea.
Dude, any mage with ABS is ownage on the rager, pure and simple. The moment rager thirsts is the moment he's dead because he won't know when to get out. There are unreal strings of multiple deathblows that happen once per char, but that only means a word from the mage to come back and own another day. Current system is fine, and I've played both sides plenty enough. It's rager
I am very aware of that. It's just that the role idea that I have only lends itself to a gnome. Not even to a svirf, who is a million times better (stats, stone skin, even detect invis).
What I really wanted to know is whether anyone has any semi-recent experience with STSF on a gnome. Apparently not many are that masochistic, i.e. zero Dio readers. :)
Very easy since the beginning of time: Summoner(s) + laggers to separate groups and generate (preferably perma)lag. Ideally duergar empire anti-paladin for combo of summon plus lag plus first initiating bash/trip, seeing hidden. Awesome if they die from a single bash (necro army, happy conjie pets) assuming they're unprepped. Roam ranking areas and Galadon/Eastern. Don't do chaotic stu

I realize the wisest choice is to run as soon as he shows up, but that's not Rager mojo.
My hope was to bash him down, but after plague he hits with energy drain, and I have to run before the second one hits just to have a chance at survival. Obviously can't outdamage him btw.
