IC anger from the victim is not going to come across as IC, at all, unless you have some kind of pre-established relationship with the PK winner(s).
Any comments from the PK winner(s) if they loot any gear at all (and especially if they dropped a full sac on the victim), is going to come across as being a douche.
It's better to just not talk at all if you can help it. Personally, most
I still can't figure out if this was the tone down Elhe was talking about .. because it has nothing to do with this log .. but if this old news was all Elhe and dwoggurd are talking about, it's funny that the thread got this big.

ignored 90% of Dwoggurd post just because it does not suit your idea :P
It would be cool if you actualy commented that "skipped" part.
Generally, overall I ignored 90% of his post because it had nothing to do with whether PK stats could be used to help determine pwnage.
Specifically:
I ignored the raid/retrieval part about "me assuming too much" because it
QuoteQuoteBalrahdI think PK stats, used in a manner like this, would be potentially useful to determining how much one side pwns the other. I have a feeling the results would skew towards imperials having more goodie PKs and fewer goodie PK deaths, and fortress types having fewer evil PKs and more evil PK deaths.
We already had that discussion before and I already posted PK stats for both sides
Yes, healers cannot "pwn" without someone else. But never fear, Dwoggurd, because that "pwnage" will be reflected in the "someone else's" PK stats.
1. I think winning cabal wars is a horrible measure of pwnage.
It's easy to take a cabal item. And for every cabal except empire and outlander, it's very easy to retrieve it. So the fortress "
That you are an ass.
Why don't you answer the question of why you can't play a fortress character. When you have the answer, maybe your mind will be able to comprehend what everyone but you and Elhe can see: that fortress is weaker than empire.
ETA: Oh, and PS, maybe next time you can actually answer what you mean by "pwnage" if not PKing. .
You and dwoggurd are the ones saying "several strong fotress members will pwn everyone". And that "several strong imperial members" could not compete with that. So what do you mean by that?
To me, "pwnage" means PKing, not giving a good scare. I doubt daurwyn's paladin pwned his range. I'm confident his imperial did.
What does the word mean to you/dwoggurd?

Fortress is best cabal in terms of number of people and class flexability. I mean they always have a lot of healing/free damage reductions. Now try to use your imagination. Same numbers of strong Fort chars will pwn probably any cabal with same numbers of strong chars.
But it's not.
Empire has better cabal powers, by far. More people in Empire have access to the better ca
It doesn't quite make fighting them useless. But it's so frustrating as to make it pretty close to that. All the rest of the paladin stuff (defiance, retribution, etc.) I can live with and happily take them on 1v1.
I think imperial training offense overlaps (may even be better than) whirlwind. So you probably wouldn't see a difference. Otherwise, if you hamstring/boneshatter, you will probably consistently see 4-6 attacks a round. It's been a while since I played a mace/dagger and I never crunched the numbers ala Hastur, though. :) This is just my recollection of eyeball observations.

I just think you'll get much more mileage out of dagger at hero and will be using mace like a utility spec for boneshatter and cranial. Pre-hero, boneshatter is going to completely wreck a lot of foes. Post-hero, it's an add on most (not all, of course) of the time. Pre-hero, cranial is going to be enough to finish things quickly. Post-hero, your arial cranial is not going to be as
Whirlwind is nice; it feels like imperial training offense. But ideally you have someone/thing to give you a haste effect.
Mace is awesome until hero range where it is lacking if you chose dagger as well. In my opinin if you do lots o playing at hero you'll get more mileage out of whip.
For a second legacy I'd go soul (because a lot of your wins will be close) or landslide (beca
I don't see why we should be any more restrictive than the IMMs feel is necessary. I'm looking at the thread on officials, and it seems to me as though the only things they care about are: (1) ABS, (2) areas explore, (3) limited preps (wary, but not per se precluded), and (4) brand new areas. So, yeah, I think we should go ahead and adopt those guidelines as a community.

- Daurwyn will have his bright line test.
- Lots of information will be made available in an accessible area (here or Diku wiki).
- People have to be intelligent and realize that if they share something that "feels" like one of those "super secret Easter eggs" or breaks one of the above rules, there's a substantial risk the IMMs will "rebalance" or simply remo
I usually just rank in the common high exp areas (calandryl, kiadana, spirits, headhunters, etc.).
I generally expect company when a potential enemy is logged on, and make sure my groupmates can hit that potential enemy, as well. Sometimes I get cocky, misjudge the danger and get smoked. Sometimes the enemy comes and gets smoked. Sometimes the enemy comes and I take off for a few hours unti
There's a few hundred of them (no exaggeration) along the West Coast, all loosely affiliated through parties and special interests (things like swing dancing, computer networking obviously, going to/performing in shows, etc.) over the last ~20 years. For them, it's not an insult, they use it with a touch of irony. Few of them are sacraficing "getting laid" although a lot of
