I have had two whip specs who could not manage to entwine a masochist in market square. I also had the luck to fight Rhyaldrin quite often, who seemed to have the "Entwine Anything on the First Try" edge. If you have a character that is lucky with entwine, hang on to that shit.by wrathpuppet - Log Board
It's odd that you mention Ninjas, as for some reason I read the entire wikipedia entry on them just this afternoon. While I recognize the importance of taking anything from Wikipedia with a grain of salt it seems that much of what the world thinks of as "Ninjas" are taken from fiction (both ancient and modern). Real life ninjas were all about impersonating civilians, then setby wrathpuppet - Log Board
I am unsure where the idea that all villagers must be, at all times, honest and honorable comes from. The Village is based on class genocide. Why would you expect any sort of genocidal maniacs to be honorable? Granted, some Villagers are *always* forthright about their intentions, but would you expect a Drow to be? Why do you expect a svirf to be? Do not confuse parity for honor, and doby wrathpuppet - Log Board
Once this group has ascertained with near 100% certainty that there is a sniper in the vicinity (see: brains no longer confined to skull) many of them seem to make no attempt to find cover. Is there ever a reason, when being fired upon, to stand in one spot and gape incredulously at the body of your fallen comrade?by wrathpuppet - OT Board

Why would a rager want to take autumn? Its greatest benefits are unavailable to a rager and any of the non-large races can reduce and remove it as a factor while the large races can reduce and decrease its effectiveness.by wrathpuppet - Main Board
Remember that an Immortal can pretty much be wizinvis and leave their client open, checking for prays or whatnot when they feel so inclined. It's not like they have to worry bout being snuck up on. I played a Battle Defender Thug (Wormell, Enforcer of Dagdan) to level 46 over 260 hours, and here's my take: Thug is insanely deadly from 20-30, versatile and interesting from 30-40, and absolute cannon fodder from 40+. I was amazed at just how many people at hero can see hidden. As long as you're prepared for a lot of dying, a thief can be great fun. >1. Does weapon trip woby wrathpuppet - Main Board

In my opinion, "Let the Right One" in is the best horror movie of the decade. Also, I think "The Mist" is outstanding, and find the ending of the movie to be better than the ending of the novella by a factor of over 9000.by wrathpuppet - OT Board
Every time I go linkdead for more than a few seconds I'm grateful when I don't wake up naked at the pit. I count six rounds of combat before you died. If you had wimpied out and he chased you and killed you, I'd think that was poor form (but totally to be expected.) Simply because you didn't enter any commands does not mean you're linkdead. I think that these situations (and learning how to avoid them, if possible) is just part of the cabal. Quicksand sucks, but it is by no means a death sentence. Then again, in my experience, invokers are the easiest mages to make flee, even if it can be difficult to kill them (usually because I'm stuck in quicksand.) Also, four of the races can render quicksand a non-issue. Being stucby wrathpuppet - Main Board
When politics is reduced to charicature, this is what you get. Hippies and the type of people drawn to protests (on all sides) tend to over- simplify complex situations. The distilled result is this sort of idiocy.
