Not all inners are the same. The empire inners have a LOT of melee attacks that generally chew right through chars that don’t have good parry/dodge/etc. but they don’t do much in the way of direct damage or maldiction.
Though you could make the inners for empire significantly harder by changing their spawn order so you hit prelate->assassin->warlock->warrior

Galadon: there are caps on hometown population, they just haven’t been reached in a while. I think this is pretty small potato’s.
Halloween forms: I rolled Tebor right before October. Even without the forms for the whole month my range was 95% shifters, virtually all Uncaballed doing nothing but power ranking. Again virtually all were gone within a week of hitting hero. The month was a w
I don’t think I can balance CF, fatherhood, and work.
Though I do occasionally think of doing another scarab warrior to totally leverage tower/infinite gold/normally high risk prep to make fort/empire gangs cry.
I think the ability is fine. I think the bigger issue is invincible characters where things like the ioun stone just never change hands. Though it’s moot since hell is closed. Devils come with all sorts of drawbacks and frankly their level 60 acid blasts are way more likely to instant kill and for banshees only a few necros get them and ghoul touch is more likely to kill you.
There is a very well established process to get inducted, so established there is an in game object that spells out what you need to do.
So from that standpoint it’s easy to know how to get inducted.
Now it can (and should) take a fair bit of investment to get into the cabal. And that can be inflated a bit at the moment because you both have to do it and then catch scarab online if there a
It was not long ago I was making Paladin’s go into rage mode by beating them senseless with a Druid.
Be mindful of your commands, realize getting several rounds of lag in a row is unlikely, and use your choices to minimize it.
When I say choices as a warrior you can take legacies to directly (harmonious) or indirectly (melee defense) minimize the impact of low damage lag moves. You can als
They also don't give you haste everytime you pop them either.
Accelerate is easy to get but it is just the defensive side of haste and I would not recommend fighting groups with it.
In most cases you can flee and return and in others you can turn the extra damage into a feature.
Areas full of tough agro mobs though are definitely more dangerous though. But realistically how often are you going through them and often you could grab a natural tank and switch to angel.
The grey area is that you can defend yourself, which allows for first strike if you think you are in danger.
The not grey area is you don’t actively seek fights with non enemies.
So simply seeing them and knowing they want you dead is not the same as expecting them to try and kill you right then or needing to take first initiative.
Them coming into the village and taunting you is fair
Berserker and Anti-Paladin would be pretty clutch as they can use the big ones and it will cover their melee defense weakness and feed into their offense very nicely.
If you are fighting (mob or PC) attempts to target you (including auto assist) they have a chance (based on terrain) to fail and eat a round of lag.
So it’s very cool in raids where the targeting situation can already be a bit chaotic.
If I have mobility I can make a lot of magic happen. Being able to be the aggressor more often and survive tactical retreat more consistently lets me accumulate gear/preps and take advantage of short windows of opportunity.
Totally agree on swiftstrike. You actually landed more swiftstrikes than I did ripostes when we fought many times. Weight isn’t really an issue, I just continually restock preps.
I don’t know if you have ever had surrounding before but it is a total game changer vs groups or while fighting groups or raiding.
I would swap flow for surrounding though.
Though I am torn on going elf, switfstrike and maran weapons are cool. But if you want sustained action you need to be able to fight both empire and fort. Maybe it would be more fun as a scarab drow.
Trading extra damage and allies for extra preps, saves, and enemies.
I used what was available to hunt an enemy. Mace berserker with non metal weapons is kind of a pretty damn hard counter to Druid, so of course I used preps and allies.
The reason you lost though had less to do with the allies than it did with engagement management. Point in case allies really made zero difference in this log, I was able to use the hunt and pets to minimize how much you hit
