Second druid (my first sucked major balls, cloud is not the way to go) and I think I learned a lot about the class. I had a lot of fun and was really impressed with just how good the class could be in different situations. T minus 8 weeks to first born so I wrapped this up and have time for a throw away char before I go a few months without sleep (or so I am told).
Makes sense he wants to use them as a slingshot. But it’s also unlikely they would want to be used that way.
He got as far as he did because Ilyana, while role playing well and consistently, has made a lot of compromises to support his main goal and as a result has a flawed take on paladin and trib leadership.
Don’t want to check all of underground? Just track at the entrances. Or at entrance to past(though really you can scout the whole thing in seconds).
It doesn’t get used a lot but it is there.
And sometimes ruining the surprise is worth it. Like if you see they are hurt and realize you don’t need to prep before pouncing. Or if you don’t know what spec a warrior is because they just hit range.
Keep in mind you can’t see people who recently died from the sky. I have thought, oh look a lone squishy, only to fly into a group of three.

Final forms pounce all over lower tier forms, predators pounce more than prey, especially vs prey(might take 4+ flees to disengage)
The vulture has an extra pounce ability that works anywhere(sky or ground) but only triggers if victim is heavily wounded. It’s utterly disgustingly good for kill sealing. Falcon and eagle are beefier but
Bird on bird fights tend to take a long time (except maybe if furor is involved). You should have plenty of opportunities to flee if you don’t wait until gushing.
Vulture has the extra pounce ability that kicks in at writhing/convulsing on top of the normal air chase mechanics.
I don’t think they are the same.
But prey will suck at chasing predator.
Predator should chase prey better than other predators.

Forms are either predator or prey and predator chases better.
It’s listed in skill when you do it in form.
It’s not listed for condor.
It was changed because it used to be purely dex and as a result hummingbird was king of the sky.

Some neat animists things.
1.) in Home terrain your ancestral spirit spel can curse and faerie Fire.
2.) zephyr is legit for stopping dirt kick
3.) the spirit ally you call can act like a danger sense
4.) your acute vision gives you limited detect invis
They are not bad for exploring and have some extra utility from spells. A solid tactic in pk is to use e
You spend a lot of time in the air hunting and tracking, they have the easiest time locating prey which generally leads to more opportunities to get kills.
But reasons why air first
1.) less mana to stay in form. It really impacts how long you need before dropping down to regain mana.
2.) spirit of the thunder hawk greater enliven let’s you regain moves in the air and further reduces mana
My items I recall from my two attempts came from the following areas just to give a relative level of difficulty
Dagdan
High tower of sorcery
Drogan hills
Oryx steppes
Arangird
Trothon
With bitdform they can check 80% of the game in minutes and they basically never run out of moves and have fly/pass door/water breathing as class abilities.
Plus animism and verdant lord and bear form can track.
First two items are easy to get. Third item might be hardish but still doable by any solo necro. Fourth item is limited and you might need a hand.
Of course figuring out what the items are can be a chore, a lot of them though you can make friends with people who have locate object spells and check the keywords.
But yes currently it’s a very uphill battle for muter vs berserker.
Though I don’t know how good that entropy power is. If it’s reliable then I could see muter dominating village.
