I think this is a good idea. Right now Fortress is very imm-centric, and dependent on the availability or interest of Padwei and Baerinika to run their cabals. A tiered system like the way you describe adds an additional layer of RP, as well as sense of accomplishment and balance. Templar is a nice middle-road name for the Maran, what about the Acolytes? Disciple, perhaps, although I think "
Just wanted to share this great Counterstrike MOD that's free for download (If you have HL2 or Counterstrike Source) that I'm having a blast playing. Basically you play one of three melee teams (with limited ranged attacks), with map objectives. Must say the graphics is fun, and its got a great playable value. Easy to play, Hard to master. Enjoy. :P (Download it from Steam client).
Shucks I remember the glory years. The lack of numbers + lack of newbies + more veterans = less overall kills. I dream about those blood soaked eastern road when I actually managed to get two duergar APs to 40 with 40 charges for one and 50 for the other.. now.... shucks. Every kill just seems so hard fought for.
I saw some attempts to consider a banner marketing of the mud on the Zmud page.

Don't tell me in the whole world of internet gaming, we can't hook and find another 200 people who will get hooked.
Yes yes, I know the arguments. We all started gaming on text so we're hooked cuz this was a momentus thing for us, back in the days of netscape and muds being the first time people could DnD with each other ONLINE.
but I still think the depth, enforced ro
I would like to nominate one of the VIPs here, Daurwyn maybe, to write up a decent advertisement post and spam post them on various gaming forums like mmorpg.com so we can have more newbies.
CF is unique. Enforced Roleplay and Depth and a place where orcs sound like orcs, dwarves sound like dwarves is still a niche play in the game world.
And I think everyone is bored of wow, warhammer onli
Sigh. Just a random whine. Playing a level 51 mage. Can't find any barrier at all! Annoying since I used to have no problems whatsoever before, in the old system, as well as the previous system. I've asked, begged, got the you-know-what spell from the you know who in the you know what tower, still no longer.
rant over.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
Sounds like Acolyte powers are really the suxxor. Maybe spiritual link, but I do remember reading someone say that a) Acolytes were the hardest "cabal" to be promoted into and b) the powers aren't great at all.
I am tending to agree.
Am thinking of rolling up a acolyte. I hear that favor of the sun has very minor damage reduction. Anyway, just the following questions:
1. How much damage reduction is the scribe's favor of the sun?
2. Are acolytes favor of the sun more powerful? If so how?
3. How much damage reduction is aura/shield actually?
