I tend to play mostly necros with the occasional ap, assassin, or shaman thrown in. I won't say for certain but I am probably goofing around with a midbie necro right now. If I mummy this cat successfully (Cardric failed) then that is a way to go. I suppose if I fail the becoming I will see what there is to do. Thanks for the advice!
I am about to display my ignorance of coding and game design and the inner workings of a MUD. If we are in agreement that more is better, or new is better, and those things can add playerbase, how much does a person need to be able to code to deisgn a new area? I imagine most of the player base here to be similar to me. I imagine you have played rp games on all sorts of platforms and table top. I
You do need to be careful when practicing with a friend though. I have received a talking to for perma-ing with someone when we perfected sleep on each other. I wanted to argue that we never hunt together, we only rank together, but there was no denying were grouped together all the time. But anyway...just a heads up. The eye in the sky is watching.
Entropy was really interesting with a huge playerbase making all the cabals full. I remember mirror image and however they changed room exits being tough to deal with sometimes. I do not know what all their powers used to be, honestly. I have heard they do not have excellent powers now. But if we went to 4 cabals and let Entropy be one with a revamp in powers then they are opposed to which.. Empi
I think maybe we are trying to attack the same problem from different avenues. I also would like to see an increase in the playerbase. To my way of thinking, though, this is supposed to be a fighting game. No matter how much of the game you know, fighting against other human controlled opponents is going to be new and introduce that thrill I think people seek on a pkill mud. To me, having fewer o
Hello Team. I wanted to find out if anyone felt the way that I did and would like to see a marked increase in cabal wars. I think the imms are already trying to do us a solid by offering edge points from counter raids. But what I see is either one cabal being very dominant at any given time or our low playerbase spread so thin that there aren't enough players to go round for the cabals.
Two separate characters. Iammda flat out evaded him. I had to rank by summoning a LOT or in some out of the way places. With Delzor I was wanting to power to the mummy quest. So I wanted to not have to avoid him.
But... If you don't want to fight him go Empire.
But... He was the one who Anathed Delzor. By that time I was a specter and if I was half decent I would have at least tried to
I do not understand the mechanics of fear poison. Does it force you to flee a percentage of the time? I guess basically I am asking once Aik lands fear poison on people he pretty much knifes, you flee, he knifes? I know you had several skins to consume and I am also assuming that you could have worded out, but is that how the fear poison works and what she was trying to do?
Hey guys I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents about the thread on officials involving the change to AP's on officials. AP is my second favorite class, even though I am awful at PK and I don't think I have ever had more than four or five charges at any one time. I have a real problem with changing the game for ONE GUY! He's just one guy! I evaded him at my leisure with Iammda. He
I was actually kind of jealous at first because I am always looking for all the help I can get. But then I remembered I don't know how to log, or post logs, so I guess no one knows how truly bad I am at the ol' pkill moves. :)
I would totally pm you though and learn what I could.
I am not trying to defend Bakrmarr. Don't think that at all. But...
1. When I first started playing full loot was such a norm that it was a waste of time to go back to your corpse.
2. There was a brief time when you could donate gear to the Empire. There WAS an rp reason to full loot at that time.
Those being said the metagame has changed. I like the change, actually. It's good
I had some immteraction with Jormyrr about two weeks ago with Delzor. I am not sure if he was coming to me or if he in invised in an area I was in and I moved to him. Overall the Immteraction was great given the two backgrounds of our Characters (Empire Necro and Village Imm). I was only Smited once and I did get away with laughing in front of him (but not at him!!).
I really have had only thr
In my experience it seems that chill touch seems to average consistently higher damage. Ghoulish numbing seems to have more variance. I think that it might have a higher top end and a lower low end than chill touch when both are perfected. My questions are these:
Are my observations correct and that's how the damage shakes out?
When you choose one or the other in combat or in pk do you

Usually only wraithform or maybe wraithform and nether protection. I had just gotten my barrier (finally) and needed it to get through the ghoul tunnels. As I said I had already collected 2 mob deaths in there and I wanted to save what little I had for them. The first time Iaio smashed me we were resting outside of
Another Necro for a serial necro player. Surprise surprise. I always enjoy playing them and seeing how I can do different things with them. I had a pretty interesting idea (I thought) about how to approach the concept of Becoming with this character, and I enjoyed talking to several people about it. Two notable ones were Gemmurra and Khruan (?). I had really hoped to play this character uncaballe
I knew I would never have enough souls in a weapon at any one time to have a dominant weapon. It just isn't my skill set or play style. I did hope to eventually get to the first level of controls. I understand that is over an accumulation of collecting souls and not just based upon the souls in the weapon at any one time. Marzzett auto'd with full con I think and probably a train or two
I can dig it that you are saying a goodie should be summoning zombies, but to me you are griefing if it doesn't lead to something. When you log in for 20 minutes, summon zombies, and log out, that is griefing. By way of comparison, you log in, pull 2 or 3 zombies, then hit the captain to try to take back the scales, that seems reasonable. To me, that is the main difference; log in sessions w
Well folks. Marzzett is gone. I enjoyed this character for a long time. I liked him much longer than I liked many other characters. I tend to play them a lot while levelling and interacting then when I hero I grow bored. I really tried to maintain the same speech pattern throughout, and to play dumb as much as I could. It was not easy, and I know that at least once I was talking to someone and wa
I believe the Imms aren't currently interested in working on Lich quests at the moment actually. I would point at a post on the Officials under gameplay where someone was asking about Lich quests. The Imm who responded did not say no outright, but kind of hinted that no one was currently doing them because there are two automated systems set up. Lich quests are, of course, immortal driven. T
Hey team! I am having a problem posting on any of the officials boards. When I try to do so it tells me I do not have POST authorization on my account. I had an account and then on Twist's advice I made another with my gmail account. Same message. I sent Twist my newer account's user name and password and he was able to log on and post on my account. My brother was too. So I guess that
I think that Battle has historically been elitist and I don't think that should change. I think there needs to be something that people have to do in order to get in. I do agree that maybe having to kill another player mage is getting harder and harder because of lower playerbase and if you happen to play at a low player count time. I do think that maybe any player kill of a known enemy (a b
