I've been randomly given epic instruments as a lowbie (by Heralds, Empire, Fort, depending on alignment), and also handed out extra instruments that I've been tired of carrying.
How can you even try to argue that being given thousands of gold doesn't affect gameplay? It obviously does.
Should Destuvius not reward folks with gold? I'm fine with it...but don't pretend it's not a meaningful reward, that's asinine.
The attempts of certain media groups to explain macro economics through kindergarten analogies are why people have no fucking clue what's going on in the world.
You want a slightly better analogy?
Man sells millions of light bulbs, gets rich.
Man uses money to bankrupt other, smaller lightbulb companies.
Man raises prices on lightbulbs to $1 because there is no competition left.
Man
I was doing a pretty blatant bait into the shadow grove, and was totally shocked that anyone was dumb enough to fall for it. As everyone knows, shaman + lagging partner is a mean combo.
I knew that, someday, you were going to try and kill me. The power struggle would have been fun, though I've no doubt you would have won in the end. I had been hoping to build the branch more as a pack of wolves than a bunch of lone wolves, but you were always very much the lone wolf.
I haven't played much since, so I don't know much about your apparent slaughter of other Outlan
Now you're nothing more than an attention whore with way too much free time. A sad reflection of the internet as a whole, perhaps.
Maybe you could take a look in the mirror, and stop being such a brat all the time?
stupid ability leading to bad gameplay. If you aren't one one of the classes with detect hidden, you're relegated to holding your dick in your hand for hours when there's an assassin hunting you.
If you can calm them, which can be tough if they're all aggro'd, you can then just say the words.
I've done it a bunch, once pre level 40. I've also died at hero attempting it, so it's not guaranteed.
I was an Enlilth shaman and had no idea which way was up. Some other guy had a mercenary and was talking through him, pretending to be an emissary from Enlilth...good times
I'm amazed you're even talking about shamans landing weaken on you with any regularity. Between good saves + cranial + an inability to parry maces, I'm not sure how you weren't pummeling shamans before they could even dream about the 5+ tries it takes to land weaken.
Super secret cabal power gives you a location from which you can get back to defend "quickly." But that really depends on how close you are to your super secret spot. Given how quickly some people can mow down the outer (warriors, provost with lieutenants, etc), I've always found it hard to get back to defend if you have no advance warning.
