Most Maran powers are primarily for convenience. They help noobs who cant properly prep/gear themselves maintain a quasi-competitive presence by handing them the basics.
Mantle of the phoenix is mostly rendered moot by virtue of Flight/Prot evil potions.
Lightforge is my personal favorite since I usually hemorrhage high quality weapons.
Zeal is basically berserk/frenzy minus the drawbacks.
How much of that was a result of gear choices? (I'm not going to speculate on whether or not you have Soul of the Mountain)
Edit: Meant to be posted under main thread.
With the recent rash of Fort deletions and growing imperial council, Empire will be the top dog.
If the levelsitting Scion conjurers ever decide to rank their asses up, a Chasm coordinated under Obregon would be an absolute wrecking ball.
Wrath is still very lag efficient damage. Use that when he's whirling you, then switch to strike of faith when he starts lagging you.
Defiance is a no-go here, because buddy is neutral. This also means no blademasters in this situation.
Offensive weapon anoints are not useful.
Several useful virtue powers are rendered useless due to buddy here being neutral/rager, such as Light of H
He was wielding 'crashing summit', not defiance. Since it is a hammer and not a sword, blademasters do not factor in here at all.
Also, you cant make greater than/less than comparisons here, since most of his paladinly 'special shit' does not apply here, due to you being neutral.
Spend those weeks spamming up my important shit, gathering alliances for hot gear. Possibly caballing Rager for the sick powers.
Spear/hand felar defender could be amusing.
Or just straight up shaman, since most people wont be toting around enough curatives to deal with you in a forceduel-like environment.
Your int/wis play a large factor in gathering charges. I may be wrong, but you have a harder time using the legacy if your opponent's int/wis is higher than yours.
I believe this feature was put in for the following reasons:
-To let you know this mob has gear, the gear is just over limit
-To keep things consistent with mob descs
As a tradeoff for letting explorers know that the gear does in fact come from this mob:
-Mobs will use this illusory gear to fuck your shit up, making for a far harder fight in many cases.
tl;dr, I dont think they'
CF has a cafepress store located here: as well as a store directly on the site itself here:
Some of it is actually really awesome, I think. I especially liked the hoodie and the oldschool cabal keychain.
