Firstly I do not advocate for area explore being public. I just want to get that out of the way before I go on because I believe that is the greater part of your own outrage.
To the point, there is nothing stopping anyone who wants to enjoy the game as organically as you are suggesting from doing so.
Just like it's entirely possible to have the "CF Experience" in a game like
Metagaming doesn't belong in CF? Great, I assume you'll be leaving with all of the other vets then. You think it's hurtful to the experience of the explorers when everyone that doesn't care about spoilers is better geared than they are? Welcome to being a newb right now.
If gear knowledge is the only thing driving interactions then the RP community is shit, because that is
Wouldn't that keep newbies from getting any item knowledge when they too get full sacced? I think you're at least partially kidding, so whatever, but even if everyone that reads this forum got on board it's a very short sighted fix.
You've had that signature since I've been playing, and there has been lots that has gone on between now and then. Numbers could be higher, but that's true until we hit the login cap. People, myself included, are still having fun. To me, that's not dead. Perhaps you mean the CF that you remember, in the way that you remember it. That will be subjective to everyone here, and opi
IIRC, you should be able to find the directory by starting a new log. When the client prompts you for a new file name you should be able to see the destination file with all of your other logs.
Was thinking about that, does bolt of glory edge allow you to call lightning in any outside conditions? If so it would add an option that isn't so dependent on weather, but I haven't played a pally yet far enough to take the edge.
I wonder how a polearm spec or a polearm champion would do? I don't know enough about STSF to say, but a charging, slicing, polearm pally seems like it could pose some trouble. Being as (from what I have heard) pugil damage has something to do with Str, it seems like possible fun. Don't read too much into my ideas though, I'm still new.
For someone that knows the building system it should be pretty easy, if you are learning from scratch it can be challenging, depending on your background.
But giving up after a week doesn't seem like the behavior of someone that exhibits dedication. Did you email them, send messages of inquiry, etc.?
What says that you didn't apply right when any of the imms that could give you a response were busy?
I've been working on some thoughts to this end for a post on the officials. I am fairly certain I have a good idea of where some interested players could be drawn from, but if the game is difficult to pick up then retention becomes the bigger issue. Personally, I think that gear information needs to be more open. I wouldn't even mind being full sacced as a newb, which woefully I am, if
Though I would still say it's poor form, reputation-wise. I think that all the people who went OOC with your others displayed poor form in those instances as well.
I was killed by Grokko on three characters, two of whom knew he was coming. Really lopsided almost every time, but I wouldn't fathom OOC blowing up at you. You were just playing your character. I may be an exceptional case
Although going OOC because of a full loot is also poor form. I don't agree with griefing behavior, it's detrimental to the enjoyment of the game for everyone but the sad creature getting their jollies off at the misery of another. If he'd just sacced the magic gear he would have been justified RPwise, which is what he tried to respond with. That he destroyed everything shows that g
The last week and some has been slow, but in the last few days there have been closer to peak numbers. Around 20, +/- 6 or so. I was a bit worried last week when we were peaking at 15 or so, thankfully it's picking up slightly.
I loved and hated that little bastard. Once I got wise to your style I started running to the bank immediately when I would see you on. You even caught one of my characters just as I had deposited in Galadon. Then you tried for a weapon grab and I fled to charge you to get a damage edge and we both ended up wanted. Only afterwards did I notice that your weapongrab doesn't evoke a yell in res
