Traps are fun - but better for survival and chaos than pk'ing. But still fun.
I would go for a caballed character, since then you'll have people coming to a specific place often. And chaotic non-good, so you'll have a character who doesn't care about his traps hitting his friends/innocents, since you can't disarm your traps. (grouped or caballed will miss your traps).
But as someone said, gentle walk and shield block are musts. Or you can try your luck with a spear and the speardancer edge. Pick lock, relock, rogues awareness, hide, all make getting out of bad situations easy. And if you go thug and use gut shot, or take envenom, you can have that mob get worn down after you flee and rest.
Go svirf for instant 100% lore, high str so you carry and hoard lots
1. Let thieves trade/practice in their damn guild when wanted. I mean, seriously.
2. When wanted, automatically place bounty on head. Bounty goes up in amount proportionate to level.
3. Add incentives/rewards to criminals who stay wanted for many hours:
- 1st tier: big morale boost
- 2nd tier: lower level guards yell but don't attack cuz they scared of you
- 3rd tier: hometown merc
Pretty bad. When work was slower, I would mud mud just for sake of mudding, spamming skills, solo ranking, while my back was to the dude I share an office with. He assumed it was programming code, but pretty sure he glanced at a colored <<<<< ANNIHILATES >>>>>>>> one time and wondered wtf i'm doing. Now I'm all alone in my own office (woot!) but j
Would you:
_ Play an uncaballed neutral conjurer
_ Play an uncaballed pickpocket
_ Play a perma-demoted Imperial
_ Play a perma-lowbie bash giant
_ Play a perma-lowbie human thug
_ Randomly try different class/race combos to rank 30 then rinse/repeat
_ Try to play varying serious caballed characters over and over until you realize you'll never get inducted unless you mud full-time f
Was fun, but not as powerful as I hoped. Shadowstride still only worked in caves, and occasionally in indoor rooms (not in other terrains). Ambush for svirfs seemed to suck, except in caves - someone else posted that they thought it was buggy.
I know one thing, I *thought* I could solo Aran Gird, but I could not until late in ranks.
I discovered that there are little caves sprinkled all o
ko poison still has same size restrictions - can't ko someone 2 sizes from you.
I suspect all the other edges and skills for avoiding being surprised or slept might too.
But they don't necessarily want to spend 1 yr learning the mechanics of a virtual world, and that's pretty much what it takes to get yourself beyond newb-level here.
Mages need A/B/S wands, yet no hint of this in the academy. I wish they would literally define 5 to 8 magey wand areas and say "your wand will be in one of these areas" and it's public knowledge that these
1. Because it's so easy to
2. Because there are more jobs out there for it
You may be seeing something different, but what I'm seeing are more corporate websites and intranets moving to Drupal, more PHP developer jobs cropping up, and more windows environments moving *to* PHP-based content platforms.
Basically, compared to a couple years ago, PHP is now accepted by corporate I
While the other languages are more powerful and better in many ways, PHP continues to gain more steam than it loses.
It's simply much easier to work with for novice coders, and Drupal and Joomla are becoming hirable skills in themselves.
"Replaced for all intents and purposes" is crazy talk!
Is that not the case? Surely you bartered healing for some embossed rings or whatever? I remember you helping my group on the mount when you were sub-30, and I was grouped with some warders.
Anyway, with other characters I had fun running from you, trying to trick you. Really, because of your aggressiveness and gating, there were several ways to have tricked you, and I'm sure you were sup
You finally get a group, and it's going slow, but no one's bothering you and you're thief or offense shifter is finally ranking, but the hyper paladin or bard in the group decides "This is going to slow" and just leaves - because ostensibly he'd rather just go beat off or rank on the mount when no enemies are awake than not powerrank.
How did Kostyan and Alex's dagger arial do it? I mean, I just always fled from them when I got my ass beat.
What about a ranger with no bearcharge?
A shifter without pounce or flyto?
I guess invokers and conjurers just smack the shit out of people before it's too late.
All caps for PIERCING HOWL to get them battle bards.
Seriously, though, how do you kill a rager with a utility form? The monkey was a fun form, and could dodge (against pc's) very very well, but couldn't evade. Even punching out MANGLES MANGLES MANGLES couldn't outdamage a rager. Or really any warrior, actually. Maybe it did suck. Maybe I just needed barrier.
Smash was good,

1. Flails are lowbie-stalkers' weapon of choice. No one knows how to use them, and many warriors won't have them trained if they are interested in other things.
2. Serious lowbie pk'ers will ghost and run all over thera and scavenge gear like this. Popular places are barovia keep, maus, evermoon (midnight), velkyn oloth
3. Warriors rule the lowbie ranks, they just do. Until y
