You want people who are afraid to die. You don't want people doing stupid shit jeopardizing the rest of the Marines around them. The Marine Corps wants its troops to be like pissed off, hungry pit bulls chained up and ready to be unleashed. The atmosphere in the Marines really fosters this idea. You don't want docile and timid people going to war. You want them to be agressive not react
I hate these fucking idiots thinking the public owes them something. Fuck that. You signed up for a job. You voluntarily put your name on the dotted line. You don't get commended for doing your job. You shouldn't expect anything for doing what is expected of you. This era of self-entitled military personel really fucking pisses me off.
You come out of bootcamp with a fucking big head, especially in the Marine Corps. The fucking ingrain this shit into, that you are a fucking killer. It's what the Marine Corps needs and wants. Fucking angry, cocky assholes who are eager to fight. That's what you want in warfighters. Why is this a mystery?
If oxygen was flammable we'd all be fucked as one flame would start a worldwide fire burning everything. Did you fail chemistry? It's not an accelerant either. Fuck. Shut up. Combustion is a "bipolar" reaction. It requires two opposites to happen, those being a fuel and an oxidizer. The fuel burns in the oxidizer. Oxygen does not burn. Fucking idiot.
As I said, it really depends on the person. If the person has had a very active past(playing sports like soccer, football, or basketball), I really wouldn't worry about it. If the person has been weight training a lot with multi-joint exercises, again I wouldn't really worry about it. If the person has done nothing but sit on their butt all of their life, I would take a different route.
Yeah, I've used things like, "A giant could kill 23 kobolds with a single blow wielding this sword" to talk about weapon average. Just find a way to describe it in terms relative to Thera.
