I would go to the New Balance store just because they have people that match your feet to a particular shoe, sole, and insole, but other places do that too. I wouldn't buy a running shoe from, say, Footlocker or Dick's Sporting Goods because it is a generic mass produced shoe not designed for my feet. I do not think the actual brand matters.by The Forsaken - OT Board
I keep thinking that all of the proposed health care solutions focus on just those that do not have health care or cannot afford it. Because what that means is that businesses still have to pay or jointly pay with their employees the cost of privatized (traditional) health care AND more socialized 'universal' healthcare for everyone else. Again, that means I'm paying for mine aby The Forsaken - OT Board

And I feel much the same way. The war in Iraq has been brutal, we should not be there. Policing the world is a lose-lose deal and I'm afraid of what that might look like with McCain regarding Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, and a silly little South American counties. I go back and forth on whether McCain would be an asset for us in times of political tension. I'm all for his/Bushby The Forsaken - OT Board

If this is your first year following politics, then I understand the dilemma. The McCain being painted by the drive-by media and partisan pundits is not the historical, actual McCain.by The Forsaken - OT Board
Which adds to the appeal of him... : ) McCain might be willing to act like the Republican establishment but if he gets elected, he's going to do stuff that he sees fit, regardless of breaking the party line. Now if that's good or bad...*shrug*by The Forsaken - OT Board
The most recent data they're using is before she ever even took office as governor. So, uh, what did she have to do with any of those numbers again...? I will critique the wind-fall tax she pushed through, though. Alaskans might see that as 'their' oil because it is in their state, but that's a pretty lame way to look at it.by The Forsaken - OT Board

I don't know about the history of the word but your definition seems believable. However, it just doesn't seem to me that the word has the same meaning as it used to. To me, it is a commonly used word to mean snooty or elitist, and people use it as such. So at what point does a word become acceptable to use even after its context changes?by The Forsaken - OT Board

I've been stuck on IE for years now. Firefox just never felt good to me. Anyway, Chrome has ran unbelievably smooth so far today. I can't wait to integrate google apps with it.by The Forsaken - OT Board
My grandpa served as an Army grunt in Germany right after battle of the bulge. He brought home a German aristocrat wife...she spoke very little English. Anyway, amusing thing is that he brought her from the high life to the rocky hills of Arkansas for the poor life. He cut wood and hay for a living and she drove a school bus. What a change for her...but she's pretty dang cool, glad I getby The Forsaken - OT Board
She's definitely interesting. I'm warily worried of how she will perform in the debates. She seems to get stuff done and be very practical in her approach. No favortism, just solid representation of the people's interest. So I dig that. Not being a career politician is a boost to me, she seems more authentic and down-to-earth in her perspective. Lastly, she seems real, and thby The Forsaken - OT Board
