Thanks for all the feedback everyone!
Quick follow up, given the choices:
Welf Bard
Storm Giant Warrior
Human Assassin
What cabals would you go with? I like the idea of a bard that can do everything, but seems like Herald is not really a mixed experience cabal (mainly PVE). Trying to find a class that gets to experience both PVE and PVP.
Is there a big difference between human and arial assassin? Never played an arial before and finding appropriate race gear seems challenging. Is the arial benefit worth learning the gear?
Haven't played for several years and last time I played a low level necro. Would like to get back into the game. Looking for a class that is useful for both solo PVE and solo PVP - doesn't need to excel at one or the other. I found necro to be really fun with PVP, but challenging with PVE. My play times tend to have lower numbers online.
Thinking about the following classes:
* Giant

How do you master skills with a Giant? Int is really low, so skills have been going up slowly. I know how to get practice weapons, but should I just level normally and switch out each weapon once I hit 100%? Or do you stop at some lower percent and move on to another weapon?
It's the same as with a smarter race, but five times slower. You just go and watch Netflix while mast
I'm following the FAQ here: and have a few questions for working through the game-plan.
Level 15: Practice all weapon skills and defenses to 100%
Level 20-41: PK + Master skills

How does Duergar compare to Human (no vulv) or Drow (more int) for a first time shaman? I'm a bit hesitant to play a Duergar due to the slow learning rate, but maybe that doesn't matter as much for a shaman.
What would be your top pick for a good all-around class/build for most aspects of the game (PK + explore)?
Due to my playtimes, I'm usually solo. I'd like to be able to explore and PK with a single character through low levels and hero. Not looking to be the best at any single thing, but capable in most areas.
Thanks
I'm looking for an evil based solo explorer, considering necro, shaman or AP since I like poison/weakness type archetypes. Are any of these better for exploring as a newish player? Have played a necro to around 30.
Hi everyone,
I'm playing a conjurer and was wondering if anyone had a rough guide for PKing at lower levels (27 max) - I'm not sure I'll make it to hero.
How important are preps for conjurer PK? Is armor and planar ward enough?
How important is gear? I've been mainly using items from the wiki and bramblefield merchants.
What's the general strategy? My goal has
Yeah it was awesome until the later levels. Got some bad mutations from the orbs of fire - things like negative MP and random berserk. But the regen was awesome. Didn't take any screenshots (bah).
I could get a full room filled with pets, but anything with areas spells tended to wipe them pretty fast. A single orb of fire could take out my entire army if I wasn't careful.
Tons of deaths....and then finally! Necros are really fun with Kiku as a god.

What are some important things to practice as a giant warrior? The low number of practices (and int) is forcing me to choose between skills.
For example, is shield block important? What about feint and rescue?
What are some of these "options"?
Here's what I know of:
Dex
Armor spell
Armor items
-AC items
Shield? (Does having the academy buckler help block more hits?)
Is there a way to figure out a mob's level in relation to your zombie? For example if my zombie is "lucky" level, does that mean he should be able to kill a "lucky" level mob by himself?
