It happened in the Village. There’s no parity in the village. End of story.
I completely agree with you, by the way, that some people have trashed the village. You see more Jerry type play than old school pillar worthy type play. And Battle is and has always been my favorite cabal. In fact, if I ever play Battle again I have had thoughts to make it be a super hard core old school mentality ty
So you can post about the deck but you can’t talk about it?
Pfft. It’s only breaking the rules if you reveal how and where to get it. In my humble opinion.
This is all about your elitist, I don’t want to tell you what’s happening, but I’m still going to take the time to tell you to fuck off and ask in game reply.
I have no clue who the characters are here except that Jumbel is a Svirf Villager. Haven’t really played in months.
Is he not with two other villagers? Or did I miss something important in the log?
Who used magic beside him?
Correct me if I'm wrong but Jumbel was with 2 evil Villagers. 2 Goodie non-mages attacked the 2 evil Villagers.
Yeah, Jumbel could have jumped in the fight and would have been within his right to do so to because they attacked his group, but then someone would bitch about his lack of parity, even still.
Instead he chose to let the 2 Villagers fight their own fight on even odds. The ene
Fort closing is a very significant event. It changes the face of CF in a major way, especially if it's permanent. There's a lot of people who aren't playing who still lurk the forums who would be really interested in knowing what the details of this are and how it affects what the future CF looks like.
I even took the sting edge and experimented with it quite a bit as Oxias.
It’s a one round skill and I was hoping to entwine and sting to cause mages to fail word. Never made it happen but seems like something that would be OP if it did.
I’ll admit I didn’t mess with Bludgeon much at all though.
I hated it. Tanked like shit. Crappy O. Second spec was maces.
I wished I had gone spear staff later. Maybe could make it a bit better if you’re a super prep whore but bleh. That’s a lot of work for something that still isn’t all that.
Or just flee and wait until their thirst timer runs out and kill them at the Destructor.
Gillador stayed in the fight and that’s a choice he lives with.
Don’t make it seem like that power isn’t without borders.
I am an advocate of using it in reserved situations but it isn’t that hard to exploit.
Polearm spec is geared for high str giant chars. It has some cool skills but they’re situational and niche.
Dexy chars are just so much more powerful that they usually overcome the usefulness of those spec skills. ie no one ever out melees a dagger STSF drow with a polearm and lets cutoff win the day for them.
It would be neat if distance negated shit like riposte, conceal and backfist. M
Speaking from just my observation of the boards, and not OOC discussions with other players, it seems like the nerfs to the game were way more instrumental in driving players away than those two ever were.
Yeah, the cheating was shitty. For me, it didn't impact my enjoyment of the game that much though.
What did impact my enjoyment was the coding changes, either by Daev or by others.
Might as well make it fun for all those still willing to play.
Just give out an embarrassment of rewards. Don’t see why it couldn’t hurt. What’s there to lose?
Jerry had a few gems.
Mikhian the Barmy, Inn-Sacking Barbarian of Battle, Rider of Imperial Coattails
Mikhian the Delusional Worm, Self-Proclaimed Legend, Seeker of the Paragon
Boggdok the Childish Whiner, Village Applicant
Boggdok RockBed the Meat-Tenderizing Tag-Teamer, Exile of War
Wasn't there one about picking low hanging fruit from a few years back?
Glad you posted as I missed Naevar's goodbye thread and by the time I realized it, it seemed a bit late to go back and post. It was great getting to interact with you throughout the whole Gaspare quest.
